How to check AI writing: a practical workflow
Use this workflow when you need a fair assessment. The goal is signal clarity, not punishment theater.
Step 1: collect enough text
Use at least 50 words, ideally more than 150. Tiny samples overreact to local quirks and produce unstable flags.
Step 2: inspect pattern evidence first
Start with pattern labels and detector notes, not the headline score. Verify whether flagged structures are actually present.
Step 3: compare against context
Review revision history, assignment constraints, and writing background before drawing conclusions.
Step 4: revise for quality
Use findings to improve clarity and specificity. This is not about bypassing detection; it is about writing better and understanding risk signals.
